Make Meals More Nutritious with Microgreens

Soup with Microgreens

Join Warwick gardener Leah Lavalla to learn how to make meals more nutritious by adding greens you grow in your home on Sunday, Janauary 11 at 1 p.m.

Discover how to set up growing trays, sow seeds, and harvest your microgreens when they’re ready.

Then, share a simple, vegetarian lunch that includes the microgreens you’ll be growing, and talk about budget-friendly ways to add greens to soups, sandwiches, sauces, and other shelf-stable foods.

Families will take home a microgreens growing kit, two LED grow bulbs, recipe cards for soups, sandwiches, and sauces, and links to the Growing Greens at Home digital guide and community support resources.

Leah Lavalla is the owner of The Green Thumbelina LLC, a rogue garden and floral designer, and a wicked pissah gahdenah. Visit The Green Thumbelina Facebook page.
